Departure: saturday 10:00 am Stintino’s tourist harbour.

Return: sunday 5:30 pm Stintino’s tourist harbour.

Duration: 2 days, 1 night.

PROGRAMME DAY 1:

• 10:00 am departure from Stintino’s tourist harbour “Marina di Stintino”, boat transfer to Asinara Island.

• 10:30 am arrival to Fornelli south Asinara. Baggage drop.

• Excursion start with Park’s licensed Guide.

• “Castellaccio trail” 8km to reach middleage fortress built on top of a 212m hill.

• The path has a mixed groud, gravel, dirt road, rocks, easy level.

• Guided tour upon nature and environment but not leaving apart history and local culture.

• Lunch break with picnic. Participants must provide for themselves.

• In the afternoon we will drive along the only road of the island with photo stops and beautiful landscapes.

• 4:00 pm arrival to Cala d’Oliva little village and hostel Check in. .

• Evening off, free time to visit the village or walk to the beach in Punta Sabina.

• 7:30 pm dinner at the hostel’s dining room.

PROGRAMME DAY 2:

• 7:30 am Breakfast.

• 8:30 am Hostel Check-out.

• 9:00 am excursion start. Norther Asinara hiking trails are many so the difficulty and theintensity will be decided together with the group.

• Hiking between 10 and 20 km. The Lighthouse trail, Punta della Scomunica, the olm oak trail.

• Lunch break with typical sardinian products included with the excursion.

• 4:00 pm excursion finish.

• Transfer from Cala d’Oliva to Fornelli, departure point, 25km.

• Boat transfer Stintino / Asinara and return.

• Land Rover 4x4, transfers and assistance.

• Dinner, breakfast. Sardinian lunch day 2.

• Hostel accommodation, multiple bed rooms, shared bathrooms.

• 2 guided hiking excursions and jeep.

• Park’s licensed guide during all the weekend.

Asinara National Park.

Asinara island has been interdict for more than a century during which hosted an agricultural penal colony and maximum security departments. It preserves an enormous environmental richness characterised by peculiar endemicities and unpolluted places.
Breathtaking landscapes tell the long evolutionary history through the island’s rocks shape in a territory marked by a wide variety of natural environments.
Asinara National Park was instituted in 1997 giving back the island to all the comunity and visitors.
